Regional Workshop on the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE), 21 to 22 July 2014, Roseau, Dominica

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and SIDS DOCK (represented by the Caribbean Community Climate Change Centre), with financial support of the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC), are assisting the Caribbean islands in the establishment of the Caribbean Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (CCREEE). The process is closely coordinated with the Secretariat of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the other regional organizations and institutions (e.g. OECS, OLADE, OAS, CDB).

The partners have launched a consultative preparatory process which includes the development of a needs assessment and project document on the institutional and technical design of the centre. The results of the assessment and the draft project document will be presented at a regional validation workshop which is scheduled to take place from 21st to 22nd July 2014 at the Dominica State House, in Roseau, Dominica. The workshop is hosted by the Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica. It will bring together key stakeholders of the energy sector (e.g. Ministries of Energy, utilities, international and regional partners, financiers, renewable energy associations and private sector).

On the first day the results of the needs assessment and options for the institutional and technical design of the centre will be presented. On the second day, the participants will discuss key aspects of the centre in moderated working groups.

Please register at latest by 7th July by submitting the attached registration form.
We kindly would like to ask all participating experts to fill  and return the attached CCREEE Questionnaire.
